Welcome to the wonderful world of the Dales Pony!

The DPSA is an official daughter registry of  the UK Dales Pony Society.     
All registered ponies will be included in the yearly UK Studbooks.
    
 

The combination of good conformation with energy and ability makes the Dales pony excellent for riding, driving and draft. They are unbeatable at a walk, and have stamina and determination to keep going over long distances, making them favorites for trekking and long distance rides.  Being willing and very clever jumpers, they compete very successfully in Cross Country Trials and performance classes; These ponies  are very good at competition driving classes and also excel at Dressage.  Dales easily carry heavy adults, and are kind enough to carry children.
The Dales Pony has a bold but quiet temperament, great presence and courage.  Due to their calm, sensible nature they are usually very good in traffic, do not panic in awkward situations, and extremely sure-footed. 
     

All these qualities make the Dales Pony truly worthy of its credit as "The Great All Rounder".

                             Attention Breeders and Owners!
All Dales Ponies, properly registered, transferred and licensed with the DPSA, will be listed in the DPS Stud Book in the UK. In order to assure that your registrations and transfers appear in the corresponding DPS Stud Book, all paper work from the DPSA Registrar must be submitted to the DPS Registrar in the UK no later than February 25th for ponies registered, transferred, or licensed in the PREVIOUS year.

To ensure that your 2011 registered, transferred or licensed pony is listed in the Volume 30 DPS Stud Book, all forms and fees are due in the DPSA Registrar's Office no later than January 25th, 2012. Paperwork received AFTER this deadline will NOT be processed in time for Volume 30.

All necessary forms and the fee schedule are on the web site at: http://www.dalesponies.com/DPSA/Forms.html . Please READ the forms carefully and fill them out COMPLETELY before sending them to the Registrar. Incomplete/incorrect forms will delay the registration process. Send forms and fees to:
