DPSA Breaking News!

The DPSA is proud to announce an official partnership with the UK Dales Pony Society.  As many of you know, we have been working towards a day when your registration with the DPSA would automatically be recognized by the UK and be included in the UK Studbooks.  Well, we have done it!  With the help of Jo Ashby, UK Registrar, we have established a system whereby all past and future registered ponies are now officially included.  Following are the additional benefits DPSA member will now enjoy:

    *  All registered ponies will be included in the yearly UK Studbooks
    *   New registration and transfer processing times will be cut down dramatically
    *  There will no longer be a need to:
            -  Dual Register
            -  Mail the UK
            -  Transfer Dollars to Sterling
            -  Make international calls with questions

With more people registering their ponies directly through the DPSA we will be able to create a much stronger network among the Dales owners here in North America.  With this strength we will be better able to promote the breed!

The DPSA appreciates everyone's support while we have worked towards this union.  If you have ANY questions about what this means to you as a Dales Pony owner, please do not hesitate to contact the DPSA.

The Dales Pony Society of America is becoming a thriving organization, due mainly, it would seem, to the hard work and time put in by registrar Heather Loeber, and others who support her.  This organization is now registering ponies bred in North America to the complete satisfaction of the Council, and we are pleased to verify this organization is a fully sanctioned Daughter Society, applying all the rules of the Mother Society in the UK.  It is hoped members in the USA and Canada will support this Society and register foals with the DPSA, thereby saving the difficulties of changing money for the UK fees, and also taking pressure off the DPS registration procedure.
